Weekend plans

Dear James, Daniel and Emily,

This weekend is CSS Alumni weekend. So that will keep me occupied Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday there are 2 kids birthday parties to attend. Sunday we get to come up for air, maybe get some work done around the house and or yard.

I am looking forward to the reunion tonight, should be interesting to see who will attend and see if all the increased networking from Facebook has a big influence or not. One big effect it will have though is that there are people I am 'friends' with on Facebook that I might normally never associate with at a reunion. And now I will be interested to see them and interact more because of that increased networking.

On Saturday Daniel has a party to go to in the early afternoon. This will be the first party he attends on his own (I think). So I plan to drop him off, then take the other 2 for a walk, as it is downtown. Should be a nice opportunity for him and change for James to feel like he gets Daddy more or less to himself. Then it is over to our friend Angela's younger sons birthday so over to her house for a barbecue, and then I will cut out early from that to attend the Alumni Dinner.

I don't know what we will do on Sunday, it would be nice to get in another walk/hike. But it will depend on Kim's mood. She may want to have a lazy day instead. If that is the case there are no shortage of little things I can do around the house. Cleaning gutters, ripping off old ones, mowing the weeds/lawn. Again it depends on how we feel in the morning.

NBA Thoughts

Anyone who had any doubt yesterday about Cleveland winning has not been watching the NBA in recent years. In fact I would hazard a guess that both series will (conveniently) go seven games, maximizing ad revenue. Bill Simmons wrote a harsh article about the state of officiating, and he was definitely preaching to the choir as far as I am concerned. I don't want to say there's a conspiracy but it is pretty clear what series would make the NBA the most money in ratings and ad revenue.
