Weekend Plans

Dear James, Daniel and Emily,

Should be an interesting (and hopefully fun) weekend. I think I have a game tonight (although I haven't heard anything so it might not happen). Tomorrow is just soccer with James. Then it's home to clean the house for Sunday. Sunday we will be hosting a brunch at our house for Mother's day. And then we will give our manual labor and organizing prowess to Connie in the afternoon with a project at her house. Of course this weekend we get the added bonus of Danny coming up for a visit.

If I don't have a game tonight I might just go see Star Trek on my own. We were supposed to play but I haven't heard anything so we shall see.

Saturday I want to get the house cleaned up so it is nice for the brunch. The biggest thing we will be doing for that is to roll up the carpet in our dining room. It has just gotten too used up over the years, and since we now eat practically every meal in there it will be much easier to be able to just sweep the mess up than try & vacuum.

I decided to host a brunch for Mothers Day so we don't have to deal with the kids at a restaurant, plus it saves money. And this way we can serve what we want. Then our plan is to help get Connie's back porch completely cleaned off and then organized a la Clean Sweep. We had a long talk yesterday and that is the next step she wants to take in slowly getting her house where she wants it.

Danny decided to come up for a visit this week on the spur of the moment. So he should get in tonight. Which means he will be here this weekend and get the chance to spend some time with his grand kids, which should be fun. He hasn't been up here since Emily was born. James & Daniel are pretty excited about it.

So a busy weekend, not much relaxing. But with the union and King Soopers playing a game of chicken it will be nice to have lots of distractions. Because there is nothing else we can do at this point other than wait.
