So last night we took the boys swimming at the Y. We hadn't done that in quite a while and I was trying to do something that I won't be able to do for a while. Plus I wanted to gauge where they were at so we could consider lessons.
J did okay, he is slowly getting the hang of it. But he could use another set of lessons. I really want him to learn and develop his swimming skills because swimming is just such a fun thing to do. And since we belong to the Y it really opens up some opportunities socially.
D did great, back in the summer when we went to Cortez we had picked him up one of those floatation suits. Well he put that on last night and once he got in the water he was ready to go and very excited. He was just pumping his legs and his arms, trying to chase us around. Makes me wish we had kept up the lessons with James at that age and bought him a similar suit. Oh well lesson learned and we can pass it along to E. So he is definitely ready for some lessons too.
So all I have to do is insure that I have child care for E and I can get the boys rolling on swim lessons come February. I am very excited.
