Dear James, Daniel and Emily,
So the boys went back to school today. Some resistance from Daniel initially, but by the time we got to the school he was fine. I think Emily was a little curious about where her brothers were going and why she wasn't going with them, there will be some withdrawal there I am sure. But she got her own new thing today as she graduated to the new car seat, the forward facing one where she gets to actually sit up and see what is going on.
Things went well as far as getting the kids up, dressed, eating. The boys were basically ready to go by 7:30, which is kind of my goal. I want to avoid the mad rush, yelling etc that they are accustomed to in the mornings.
I would like to make Fridays a walk to school day, as I don't have to be at work until 9, so I would have time to walk them to school, then walk back and get Emily ready. That will be weather permitting of course. But it's a worthwhile goal and plan.
