Because he has been reminded what is important in this world. There are so many great things about kids. But for me one of the best is that they provide a reminder of what is actually important in this world, perspective. One of my fondest memories is of the Super Bowl where the Rams choked and lost to New Egland. At the end of the game I turned and picked up James, who was only a few months old, gave him a kiss and announced that it's just a game. And while I am still a fan, and want the Rockies to win, at the end of the day, it's just a game. And even if the Rockies had been in the midst of a sweep of the Red Sox, and the shoe was on the other foot, it wouldn't have changed how I felt at that moment, clutching my babygirl. So Go Rockies! Win a game or don't, in the great big scheme of the world, it's just a game.
