Dear James, Daniel and Emily,
Today's workout
It wasn't as much of a struggle as I thought it might be. I mean I was sucking wind at the end, but I pushed to make it a full 3 miles. I never slowed to a walk, even when I was going up the hills (although I wasn't exactly sprinting either). It just felt great to get out there and run again.
Those morning runs really clear the head, and get the blood moving for the rest of the day. And I was also able to restrain my appetite after the run and eat a normal sized breakfast. Which is really part of my plan at this point. Even if my exercise burns a lot of calories I don't want to go back to using that as an excuse to pig out.
