This guy really has a point.
I was commenting just the other day that the impact of injuries is so damaging in this era of the small rosters and salary cap. All it takes is a few key injuries and bam there goes the season. It's a domino effect: a starter on the offensive line goes down, the blocking is disrupted, so the timing is disrupted, leading to the QB, RB and WR more likely to just get killed, then they are out of action etc. placing greater stress on other players. Plus the depth that was needed for areas like special teams is also gone because the backups who used to play are not starters. It's just a vicious circle.
And I think that the last thing we as fans deserve is having luck become THE factor in determining if our team, that we spend time money and energy supporting, fails to win. I understand that some luck is involved, but as a fan I would prefer that my team won or lost because of coaching and team management, not pure luck.
