I change the focus of my web presence (again)

So I am changing my web presence (again, what can I say, I embrace the change thing). Here is what is going to happen:

  1. I will change the focus of this page (again). This page will focus on my development: training, health, etc. but it will no longer have family updates, pictures, etc. That will be found at
  2. Our new Family Web site This will be where you can go for family news, updates, pictures. In addition I will have a shared calendar there if you want to find out where we are.
  3. My Tumblr site will continue to focus on my hobbies and interesting links I find.
  4. My Twitter feed will post links to all 3 sites as will Facebook, but I will try to make clear where the link is going so those who do not care about family updates (or my hobbies, or about my running-training thoughts) won't always be directed there.
Why do all this? First reason: because I can and I like to change things, only instead of rearranging furniture I rearrange my web presence. Second, I think that there are a fair number of folks who don't care about all the disparate parts of my life, and I want to make it easier to focus on what part they care about. Third, it will make it easier when I want to write something to know where to post it, without worrying about how to appeal to a broad audience. So there it is, I will be modifying the family web page this weekend, making profile pages for everyone (hopefully with some buy in/help from Kim) so expect that to be more fleshed out as the weeks go by.
