It is that time again in household: Yard Sale time. We've done this before, at least twice that I can think of, and maybe more that I just don't remember. We like to have the chance to gain some small amount of income before donating items to charity. And Kim has it down to a science at this stage. We even make sure to get buy in from the kids by offering them a cut of of sales from the toys we are selling. I decided it might be fun to write a series of blogs breaking down the process.
First we had to arrive at a date. Once we did that Kim got to work. We have been storing yard sale items in our shed for quite a while now. And now Kim is in her prep mode. Which means she is gathering items from the shed, sorting them and pricing them. In light of the recent wet weather we even constructed a kind of storage area on the porch for her to put the sorted and priced items.
